O primerio quadrado foi feito muito antes deste blog existir... Só nos serões das noites mais frias me apeteceu pegar nas lãs... E porque este Inverno tem sido fresquinho, lá cheguei ao fim... Fiz um patchwork de lã!

The first square was crocheted way before this blog was born... Only the evenings of very cold days made me want to work with wool... As this winter has been just a little bit more fresh, I finished it...

SSCS 2009

Num post anterior já mostrei em detalhe os enfeites de Natal que recebi e enviei na SSCS 09. Agora, com um pouco de atraso, é a vez de mostrar todo o conteúdo desta troca natalícia...

No envelope que recebi da Austrália, recheado pela Kris, encontrei muitas surpresas! Chegou muito bem recheado! Adorei tudo o que ela fez com carinho e todos os extras que lhe juntou! Obrigada Kris!

In a previous post, I already showed the Christmas ornaments I received and sent in SSCS 09. Now, a little bit behind, I'm showing all the contents of this Christmas Swap...

In the envelope I received from Australia, filled by Kris, I found many surprises! I loved everything and I can tell she put a lot of affection in every detail! Thanks Kris!

Cesto de Natal / Christmas Basket

No Verão passado, numa das lojas de patchwork que visitei na Dinamarca, comprei os tecidos em linho e as instruções para fazer um pequeno projecto de Natal. Esteve tudo guardado até ontem... A execução foi rápida e muito fácil, apesar de as instruções estarem escritas em dinamarquês e eu não entender uma única palavrinha... Tudo cosido à mão... Adoro o resultado final!

Last Summer, I bought the linen fabrics and the pattern for a little Christmas project in one of the quilting shops I visited in Denmark. I kept everything intact until yesterday... Although the instructions were written in danish and I couldn't understand a thing, it was easy and fast putting it all together... All hand sewn... Love it!

Está pronto para colocar uns scones, para o café ou chá, no dia de Natal...

It's ready to receive some scones, for coffee or tea-time on Christmas day...

Ou para, de forma divertida, oferecer chocolates a quem por cá passe... Vai um chocolatinho?

Or to, in a fun way, offer little chocolates to everyone that turns up by my house... Fancy a chocolate?

Enfeites de Natal / Christmas Ornaments (SSCS 09)

O tempo tem voado, o trabalho tem sido muito e aquilo de que mais gosto tem ficado para segundo plano... Enfim, não tenho sido uma boa "blogueira" nem uma crafter assídua... O pouco que tenho feito destinou-se à minha segunda participação no Intercâmbio SSCS 09. Desta vez, além do presente para abrir na noite de Natal, as participantes deviam confeccionar um enfeite para colocar na árvore de Natal, por isso é a única coisa que podemos mostar antes do dia de Natal...

Time flies, I've been busily engaged in work and that turns me in a bad blogger and absent crafter... The only things made were destined to my second round at SSCS 09. This time, besides the main gift for Christmas day, we were asked to make an ornament for the Christmas tree, so that's the only thing we can show for now...

From Australia arrived two gorgeous angels, and they will be in my Christmas tree as soon as can find time to put the Christmas decorations around the house... It's true, I haven't done that yet... Soon... Thanks Kris, I love them!

E também da Austrália recebi este prémio, "The Splash award", o qual passo a todos os que me visitam (como pedido de desculpa pelo meu absentismo)! Obrigada Kathryn, é sempre bom saber que alguém de longe, que só nos conhece virtualmente, pensa em nós!

Flores para o meu jardim! / Flowers for my garden!

Como o tempo voa! Há muito que o trabalho não me deixa vir aqui... E se o tempo para o blog não é muito, o mesmo será dizer que ele também não tem sobrado para me dedicar àquilo que gosto de fazer... Há mais de um mês que os pequenos momentos livres têm sido aproveitados para este projecto... Duas almofadas em que conjugo crochet com bordado (ponto grilhão)... Ainda vêm a tempo de ser usadas, pois este invulgar Outono tem-nos oferecido temperaturas de Verão... Já estão num dos meus cantos preferidos, a alegrar o espaço...

Where does time go? It's been a long time without blogging, but, unfortunately, work comes first... So, not much crafting going on... The few spare minutes from last month have been devoted to this project... Two cushions for the porch chairs, where I used crochet and embroidery ("grilhão" stitch)... They were finished just on time to be used, thanks to the warm Autumn we've been having... They're already in my favorite corner...
