Mini! Mini Quilt!

Já seguiu há muito tempo para longe, uma lembrança para uma amiga da blogosfera... É mesmo mini! Usei um bloco qua já tinha experimentado anteriormente, que encontrei aqui, brinquei um bocadinho ao fazer o acolchoado e acrescentei um pequeno bordado... Diverti-me bastante!

It was sent as a gift to a  blogosphere friend a  long ago... Really mini! I used a block I had tried before, which I found here, played a little bit when quilting and added a little embroidery ... I had a lot of fun!

Pequeno detalhe na parte de trás... Uma etiqueta onde usei um pedacinho de tecido que me tinha sido oferecido pela receptora...

Small detail in the back ... A label where I used a piece of fabric that I had been offered by the friend who received it...

Tilda's Quilt 2

Começado em Fevereiro de 2011 e terminado em Maio de 2012... Apesar de muito simples, demorei imenso tempo a  acabá-lo... Cinco meses depois, lembrei-me que ainda não o tinha mostrado aqui... 

Os tecidos são todos Tilda (excepto o branco, claro) e foram comprados numa loja local, em ocasiões diferentes, sem qualquer intenção de vir a juntá-los no mesmo projecto... No entanto, cá estão eles...

Started in February 2011 and completed in May 2012 ... Although very simple, it took me a lot of time to finish ... Five months later, I remembered that I still had not shown it here ...
The fabrics are all Tilda (except the white, of course) and were purchased at a local store, at different times, without any intention to join them in the same project ... However, here they are ...

Na parte da frente, fui alternando blocos com o centro de tecido branco  e  de tecido estampado...

Atrás, usei sobretudo grandes quadrados, para dar relevo aos bonitos estampados...

For the top I alternated blocks with white or printed fabric in the center...

On the back, I used mainly large squares, to highlight the fabrics...

O cenário e o dia em que tirei as fotografias foram os mesmos em que fotografei este quilt... Muito diferente do dia de hoje, em que a chuva resolveu finalmente aparecer...

The scenery and the day I took the photographs were the same that from this quilt ... Very different from today, the rain finally decided to show up ...

Do Fim de Semana / From the Weekend

Como o fim de semana foi de três dias, aproveitámos e fomos até à Serra da Estrela. Esta foi a pequena e bonita aldeia onde ficámos, Póvoa Velha. Quase todas as casas foram restauradas e pertencem à Casa do Pastor, uma iniciativa de turismo rural. O lugar perfeito para descansar e ouvir o silêncio... O tempo voou...

Last weekend was a long one, so we took advantage and went north, to Serra da Estrela. This was the beautiful small village where we stayed, Póvoa Velha. Almost all the houses have been restored and belong to Shepherd House, a rural tourism initiative. The perfect place to relax and listen to the silence ...

São inúmeros os castanheiros espalhados pela Serra, em plena fase produtiva, a encherem  a paisagem de belas cores e texturas... Os frutos, com muita pena nossa, ainda não estavam prontos para colher...

There were countless chestnut all over the place in full production phase,  filling the landscape with beautiful colors and textures ... Sadly, the fruits were not yet ready to harvest ...

Escapadela de Verão / Summer Break

Já regressámos há algum tempo e também já voltámos ao trabalho... O tempo voa! Só agora organizei as fotos, mas ainda a tempo de mostrar por onde andámos durante a nossa escapadela de verão... Este ano, voámos até uma localidade fronteiriça da Alemanha, onde visitámos apenas Titisee, e repartimos o tempo entre a Suiça e a França...

We have returned for some time now and  we already went back to work... Time flies! It was only now that I could find a little moment to organize the photos, but still in time to show you where we went during our summer getaway... This year, we flew up to a border town in Germany where we visited only Titisee, and managed the traveling time between Switzerland and France...
